Bar Symon in Coraopolis

I can’t speak to breakfast, but I’ve eaten lunch and dinner here many times before departures. It’s the typical American fare: burgers, sandwiches, fries, and salads. But the food is good, the fries are crisp, the beer selection is decent, and the prices aren’t unreasonable, considering that they have a largely-captive audience.Even if they weren’t located in an airport, I still think they’d be able to stand their own.

I was so hungry I didn't take pictures if the food, but wow! This place has great food! I was pretty impressed with the pulled pork, but wouldn't expect less from Michael Symon ;)

I fly a lot and have eaten at my fair share of airport restaurants - this is one of the better ones! Love the Impossible Burger and pierogis. The fries are yummy too and I liked the house BBQ/ketchup. Service is always friendly and fast.

Seems to be the usual place when I travel. Always great meals and fast service. Good when you're late for a flight! They usually have beers on tap from local breweries around Pittsburgh which was always a great choice. Very friendly staff make this a must go to for lunch or dinner at the airport. Always has good seating and the local sports events are always on TV.

Thin lizzy impossible burger was delicious, and the service was wonderful

One of the best biscuit and gravy dishes I’ve had! The reason is the biscuits. They are light and fluffy so I felt no guilt finishing these. Most biscuits are very thick and fulfilling but not these. The gravy was also delicious so overall I was very pleased with this dish. Don’t be fooled because this is in an airport. It’s worth every bite.

Can sometimes be a wait to get seated bit the service is good and for can come out pretty quickly so you can get to your flight. Good beers on tap but not much of a rotation over the past 6 months I've been going so far.Food is pretty good. Impossible burger (Thin Lizzy) is delicious. Get the rosemary fries to go with it.

Refreshing bar in the airport while waiting for your flight. Nice beer selections that are always changing. I had a bacon cheeseburger with fries that was very flavorable. An enjoyable experience.

I had the grilled chicken sandwich and rosemary fries and they really hit the spot!! I loved this! Really is good to eat great food when dreading a really long flight.

To the right of the escalators as you come up, this is part of a chain. Supposedly featuring the cuisine of Michael Symon, my breakfast was a standard served everywhere. Servers were competent and the kitchen staff were fast. My requests were accommodated with no issues. About the only negative was the high price charged ... but this is an airport location!

Only had time for a quick bite but was better than your usual airport food. Service was great.

This morning I got to the Pittsburgh airport early enough to have a sit-down breakfast before my flight. On my way to my terminal I saw Bar Symon. This casual full service restaurant serves full breakfasts, free coffee refills, plenty of space to sit and enjoy meals. They serve lunch and dinner at the appropriate times. Servers are quick and professional and the food is not your typical airport faire. I really liked having Lola's BBQ and Coffee BBQ with my eggs!

Very tasty food for the airport! Good portion sizes and the burger was excellent. Didn't realize the restaurant was owned by Michael Symon, no wonder it was good.

Great breakfast while catching an early flight. When your expectations are reasonable then satisfaction is easily obtained. I wanted a simple breakfast and that's exactly what I got. Everything was made perfect, even my eggs over easy, plus the sausage was pretty tasty. The service was great and helpful amongst other things. If you want a basic but good meal then give them a try.

Fantastic atmosphere, quick and courteous service! Sarah was amazing, recommending the limited time Open Faced Breakfast Burger. Didn't disappoint! I highly recommend it, and her, and Bar Symon!

Staff was friendly. Turkey sandwich was great...gluten free bun and all! Did not live rosemary on my fries but was not bad.

I've been coming to Bar Symon since 2012 when I started traveling frequently for business. My Department Head actually turned me on to the restaurant and introduced me to the top level staff. One in particular, MJ who tends bar in the wee hrs of the morning when any sane person would be drinking coffee, not mimosa or bloody Mary's. For some reason early am drinking is not taboo when you're in an airport about to jet off to far away places. Anyway back to the point, Bar Symon has top notch service and fantastic food and has become a great comfort to many a lone road warriors leave out on the next adventure.

Delicious Bloody Mary's. Perogies and kielbasa are a Pittsburgh staple and worth it. MJ and the bar team make a great cocktail.

Our family of 6 [4 teens] enjoyed the food, service and atmosphere. Link sausages are thick and tasty, but rosemary home fries were my favorite. Kids enjoyed french toast, bagels, and a breakfast sandwich. Better quality than some of the chains. Coffee was good, too. My scrambled eggs were perfectly cooked dry without being browned. Would highly recommend.

Excellent as always! We come to the airport early specifically to eat here ( even though service is so fast you don't need too!). Today we were so disappointed we got here at 4am and they weren't open yet. Checked Google which said they opened at 5am (only 20m before our flight) so we shuffled off sadly and got some fries elsewhere. Happy surprise though when doing a quick lap, they actually opened at 430am! We quickly came over and 10 minutes later were enjoying the wonderful egg white sandwich (my favorite here) and home fries. Service was fast and excellent. They even split our sandwich for us and served it on 2 platters since my wife and I were sharing this time. So happy we got to enjoy our favorite airport foodie destination!

Fast, ordered the pierogies and kielbasa to start and the gobbler as my meal. Burgers do not come with a side. My mate had the fish and chips he said they were exceptionally good. Rosemary flavored fries were tasty.

Local beer is good. About food, I just order wing, so so....

Good food. Fast services. Plenty of seating with wide selection of beer and wines and entrees. Nice location for people watching.

Pretty good for airport restaurant. Service was friendly, they covered for each other as necessary to serve faster. Fish and chips platter was good, the fish was hot and crispy, not too greasy or anything. The batter was well seasoned and tasted great on it's own without tartar sauce. Fries are the small kind, not shoestring but smaller than average, just a personal preference that I don't care for, but hot and tasty. Even in an airport 10$ for a beer seems like nuts but guess that's the norm.

Bar symon is a consistently good place to stop for. A quick bite. They have a variety of different food here but I typically get the Cobb or chickpea salad.Not just a boring salad. Good size, freshly grilled chicken on top and it is dressed when it comes to the table.Quick, friendly staff and a routine visit on my way out of town.

What a treat! After our flight was delayed 5 times we needed to relax and make it better. Bar Symon was perfect! The food was delicious and came out fast. The service provided by the woman behind the bar I believe her name was Sean was exceptional. She was accommodating and made us feel welcomed and well taken care of. She also assisted us with our menu selections and did not steer us wrong once. We will definitely go back and we fly in to visit family quite a bit.

The chickpea salad was ample and very tasty, as were the rosemary fries. I wish they would quit handing out straws ie single use plastic, and would serve catsup with out high fructose corn syrup... Service was super good by Lisa, who was attentive, but not intrusive.

Love going here whenever I'm in PGH airport. Consistently good food, good service, and very timely.

Suprisingly great for an airport restaurant! Service was awesome, and the food was really really good! We were super happy with our experience, and we will totally go back next time we are at the PGH airport.

Pleasently surprised that they had gluten free rolls for the burgers and they were good. The rosemary fries are super yummy. Also the staff are always friendly. My pit stop when I travel in and out of Pittsburgh airport for work.

Good, hearty food. Great service. Nice restaurant to escape the rush of the airport. Sit down and relax and enjoy a good meal.

Been here many times. Today l had the pulled pork breakfast burrito. The pork was tasty and tender. The sauce was just hot enough. The home fries were excellent but an odd paring - I think sliced avocado would have been better. Previously I've had the breakfast sandwich - very good. The mac and cheese, Lola fries and few of the sandwiches. All have been good to very good. Nothing so far has been average. Service has always been fast if you are seated. Seems to take forever if you order take out and wait. I highly recommend for any meal, if you find yourself hungry in the Pittsburgh airport.

There is a tgifridays nearby and the customer service is terrible... my group happened to pick this place. The burgers are very good and the fries are too. Beer selection is limited but not bad. Seating is 'airport quality' but tolerable. I wont go to another tgifridays but bar Symon...? Gladly!!

An unhurried dining experience with quick food delivery and good service. It's basically bar food, but it's good bar food. I had chili along with pierogies and kielbasa, and all of them were good.

I was told poor reviews about this place 1 year ago. Well, Do not go here just because of the name. I order a burger "Medium Rare" (look at pic). For a restaurant by an "Executive Chef" who promises "bold flavors" not very well cooked and bland in flavors (well the BBQ sauce did give the meat a taste). It is also $12.99 and it comes with a side of nothing.If you are at the airport, do yourself a favor and buy a burger somewhere else or go to Primanti Bro's.I will say the server that helped me, Rebecca,was very friendly and serviceable.

I ordered a turkey sandwich which was excellent. It came with a good portion of meat and was toasted perfectly. I had some of the parmesan rosemary fried food a side which was very good as well. The service was friendly and helpful even though they were quite busy.

Best airport food I've had in a long time. Food came out quick and hot. Pastrami was juicy and delicious, Lola fries were super tasty. Service was excellent. Would definitely come back.

Had an early morning flight today and needed breakfast. Went to my go to, Bar Symon, and it did not disappoint! Service was quick and friendly. Ordered the breakfast sandwich with crispy bacon. Food came out quickly and the sandwich was great. Excellent way to start the trip!

Good beer selection, great burgers and fries. A little over priced for the portions, but you're also in an airport. Would eat again.

Mo was awesome! Food was hot and fresh. The server said everything is made fresh and it shows. Breakfast was reasonably priced. 10.99 for eggs bacon home fries and toast. Airport food doesn't have to suck and this place proves it.

Been here once before. Good experience overall. Tasty food. Maybe a little overpriced, but it's the airport and owned by a celebrity chef so... Not surprising. I was offered my job while eating a sandwich here, so I feel obligated to give the 5 stars...
